Studies (and running)

Since 2016 I have tirelessly been working to complete a master's in human rights part-time and remotely through Curtin University. Units I have successfully completed as part of this include: Human Rights Theory and Philosophy, Human Rights and Development, Human Rights across Cultures and Religions, Human Rights Instruments and Institutions, Activism, Advocacy and Social Change, Community Education and Consciousness Raising, and Indigenous Rights. The assignments have involved working independently and in groups. I will finish in 2021.

I have also nearly completed a postgraduate certificate in Communication part-time and remotely through Canberra University. Units I have successfully completed as part of this include: Marketing Communication Principles, Theories of Strategic Communication, and PR Practice.

In my spare time, I also enjoy running. I have been a runner for many years, but started doing long distances in Uganda in 2017, and have since run two Source of the Nile trail runs. I also ran the 2018 Toronto Waterfront Marathon and a half-marathon in Johannesburg. In addition, I have run on Table Mountain, and done running tours of Cape Town, Singapore, and London. I am also a keen hiker and swimmer.
